Elaine Mael earned her MLS from Columbia University and holds a B.A. in English Literature from City College in New York. She was a librarian at the Baltimore Hebrew University Joseph Meyerhoff Library for many years. Presently, she is a Cataloging Librarian at the Towson University Albert S. Cook Library. The Baltimore Hebrew Institute (BHI) Collection was formed in 2009 with the integration of the Baltimore Hebrew University library into Towson University’s Cook Library. The BHI special collections materials are of particular interest to her for their broad history, varied content and diverse provenances.
