Sidura Ludwig is an award-winning author. Her recent short-story collection You Are Not What We Expected (House of Anansi, 2020) won the Vine Literary Award for Fiction and was short-listed for the Danuta Gleed Award. She has two books for children out in 2024: her debut picture book, Rising (Candlewick Press, illustrated by Sophia Vincent Guy), in May; and her debut middle grade novel Swan (Nimbus Publishing) in the fall. She holds an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. Born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, Sidura now lives and writes in Thornhill, ON with her husband and three children and a geriatric Havanese.
