Lisa Gerin

Lisa Gerin is a former school librarian and high school teacher with a master’s degree in education. She had a satisfying career working with children, teaching reading and writing to grades PreK through 12 in New York and New Jersey. She writes creative nonfiction, usually STEM topics and fiction picture books as well. She lives in Tucson, Arizona, but was raised in New York City. Lisa loves animals and nature, especially her rescue kittens, Thor and Cleo. 
She is the author of the Junior Library Guild Gold Standard selection: Rosalind Looked Closer: An Unsung Hero Of Molecular Science (Beaming Books) 2022.
Lisa volunteers at her local elementary school as a Reading Volunteer with second graders.
