Arthur A. Levine publishes books that explore the lives and stories of people who have historically been oppressed. In 2019, he founded the independent publisher Levine Querido, itself named after two intersectional Jews (Arthur, who is Jewish, Gay, and Disabled; Emanuel Querido who was a Dutch Jew of Portuguese descent.). Last year LQ published books that were winners and honors in all three age groups of the Sydney Taylor awards.
